Your ONA dues provide for some very valuable legal coverage. Read the ONA Guides before you respond to investigations arising out of your practice (whether it be a College of Nurses issue or a Risk Management issue).

Critical Injury

What is a Critical Injury?

  • Most common critical injuries to staff:
    • Any condition that results in unconsciousness to an employee at work
    • Substantial loss of blood - contact safety to determine if reportable
    • Fracture of Arm or Leg - Contact safety for any fracture
