Important ONA Local 70 General Membership and 2012 Budget Meeting Ratification Vote.

On Tuesday February 7th, 2012 there will be a General Membership meeting and presentation on the ONA Local 70 Budget and ratification vote.  The meeting will start at 1945 hours at the ONA Local 70 office located at 845 Upper James Unit 230 (South East Corner of Upper James and Mohawk Road).

Keeping ONA Local 70 Members Informed

Congratulations to our ONA Local 70 Bargaining Team on successfully negotiating our new local agreement which was ratified on Thursday January 26th by a 95% of the members who voted.

The new ONA Local 70 agreement will be in effect for 3 years. The new local agreement will now go to print and be delivered to the units as soon as they are available.

Copies of the new ONA Central Agreement for 2011-2014 have arrived at the HHS.

They are light blue.  If you haven't recieved your copy yet please contact your manager.

ONA Wins Layoff Rights vs Reassignment

We are pleased to announce that for the 8th time ONA has successfully challenged a hospital on this issue and the arbitrator found that the HHS improperly reassigned our members and must provide layoff rights. Thanks to the nurses who stood up for those rights.  We are meeting with the hospital to determine next steps.
